Projects

gro projects.

gro have been lucky enough to work with some great clients. We start off by having a walk round of the garden with the client to understand what is required. This is followed up by a quotation for the work and a suitable start date arranged.

Whatever you need,
gro can be of service.

Sebert Road - Bury St Edmunds

gro have been installing this new fence in Bury St Edmunds.

The closeboard fencing uses concrete gravel boards and posts.

A great client who pitched in on the barrow and a dab hand with a kettle and grill!

Springfield Road - Ipswich

gro have just finished this patio project for our client in Springfield Road, Ipswich.

We had to remove all the old paving, dig out, make a soil pipe repair (that had been bodged over with a lump of concrete).

We could then membrane, import 6 tonnes of crushed concrete, compact and then lay the new sandstone slabs.

Last job was to point up. Client happy!

June Avenue - Ipswich

gro have been working in June Avenue, Ipswich this week. We were asked to add a circular feature to the main lawn.

The area was marked out, dug out to level and then block work added by L.M.Landscapes. Heavy duty membrane added and 3 tonnes of stones to fill area. Client supplied own pots and plants to finish.

The blocks and stones all tie in to the garden’s theme. A nice job for some wonderful clients.
"I asked Rob to dig a large circle in my lawn and supply and cement a border around the circle to enable me to stand a large number of pots on the gravel base. All completed to out entire satisfaction.Excellent work at a very reasonable cost. I will certainly ask Rob to provide additional services in the future. Thoroughly recommend".

Newson Street - Ipswich

gro had the pleasure of transforming this lovely garden in the town centre of Ipswich. The garden was overgrown and needed strimming, weeding and clearing before we could start adding in new materials.

The garden had an existing stone path that we were able to uncover. The central, circular, feature was laid to dead/dying grass. This was dug up, removed and replaced with a mix stone with weed suppressant underneath.
We also added in a privacy/climbing plant trellis towards the back of the property.

The aim for the garden was to still attract wildlife, whilst making it quite low maintenance for the client.

We look forward to the front garden make-over soon.
"I am so pleased to have discovered Gro Garden. Rob was fantastic. He understood exactly what I needed but also shared brilliant suggestions. I am amazed with what he achieved in such a short time. He went out of his way to ensure that I have a lovely garden that I am really pleased with. I am looking forward to working with him to add more plants that both I and the bees will love. I can't recommend Gro Garden highly enough!"

Cheltenham Avenue - Ipswich

gro have enjoyed working in this garden in Ipswich. We cleared all borders of unwanted brambles, shrubs and plants.
Membrane added with locally sourced bark to finish from Greenways Landscape Products.

Trees and hedges had a trim and all waste disposed via Material Change.

Our client is a pleasure to work for and we look forward to working on the next phase.

Clive Avenue - Ipswich

gro recently installed a new decking area. The new deck was added to allow more access from the sandstone paving near the properties back door. This allows the client to have an extended area without having to step down to the existing path level.

A ramp was also introduced to make access and wheelie bins easier to manoeuvre.

Broom Hill Road - Ipswich

gro were asked to tame this lovely garden in Broom Hill road, close to Ipswich Town centre. We had a lot of pruning of buddleia, rose tress and various other shrubs and plants. There was a bag full of bindweed roots removed from the flower beds - a gardener's nightmare! The top patio area was cleared and, with the newly cut back tress, the area enjoys all day sunlight.

gro also repaired a broken fence panel and the door knob on the back yard gate as part of our service.

We did encounter a grass snake which was mistaken for an old bit of hose pipe.

gro are now maintaining the garden on a regular basis for our client. We have many ideas that will help further enhance this idyllic spot.

Worlingworth - Suffolk

gro have been hard at work in the lovely village of Worlingworth. The property we have been helping has an amazing garden, though did need some extensive clearing. We worked out that around 2.5 tonnes of green waste was removed. Yes - the dreaded bindweed showed itself again (and in the majority of the gardens we care for).

After an intensive two days clearing, we are now on to the next face of the project. We will be installing lawn edging and then importing 3 cubic meters of landscape bark to help suppress the weeds (bindweed included).

A great location and greet clients.

"I have a large garden that became badly overgrown and because of our ages and health difficulties we needed someone who wasn’t afraid of hard graft in all weathers and Rob offered that service. Without doubt he relished the challenge and the work ahead of him. Even with rain he was out there in his waterproofs working. Rob is truly a professional in garden and both myself and my wife would highly recommend him to anyone who needs their garden cleared."
