Paget Road - Ipswich

Front garden design, planting plan and installation

gro are over the moon with this project! We were asked to produce a garden design and planting plan for a front border of a beautiful Georgian house in Ipswich.

Challenge

We wanted to show off this space as it's one of the first things you see when entering. We discussed various colour, plant and top dressing options with the client to understand their vision.

As this was a traditional Georgian house we wanted to follow this theme. We decided the whole border needed to be hedged, (we used Euonymus as Box is prone to Box Blight), We also introduced a mix of Lavender (Hidcote and Vera), in the central window sections. We are also just waiting on two Phormium Sundowner's to be planted either side of the main bay window.

Value

The entrance to this impressive house was a little let down by the front border. gro have now added some interest that is in-keeping with the age and style of the house. We are looking forward to seeing this all knit together in due course.

gro have had a wonderful time working on this project. Our client was a pleasure to work for and we look forward to discussing any future plans.

Client feedback

"Hi Rob , I have just got home from work to the new front border!!

It looks fabulous! We’re both very pleased with it. What an improvement - the front of the house looks so well dressed and tidy.  Just the effect we were after. Many thanks Rob- it’s a great job. Will be happy to recommend your work. !"
